Today I am drinking an Apocalypse Cow. Why? Because it is in my fridge. And because it was brewed in June, it has probably sat around long enough. I don’t really have anything to write about tonight. Which is good for both the reader and the writer.
Although I did just watch the idiotic air guitar guy on America’s Got Talent. How stupid was that?
Three Floyds Apocalypse Cow
Apocalypse Cow is a seasonal release by Three Floyds. This DIPA has a major fruity and flowery aroma when fresh. 3 Floyds did a great job mellowing out the 100 IBUs with malty goodness. Lactose milk sugar was also added, hence the cow reference. I really like this beer, which is no surprise since it is a citrusy, hoppy beer. What I don’t like is the gross one-eyed cow on the bottle. I realize that the word Apocalypse is in the title so it can’t be a cute, cuddly cow like I want (like the cute one above- isn’t he cute? I just really wanted to stick him in this post), but still…he’s disgusting. Get the beer, cover the cow while you pour. Cheers!
