These are a Few of My Favorite Beers

A drawing of glasses of beer!

Get out there and try some of my favorite beers!

I thought I’d post a list of my favorite beers. This list is always changing, but these are all sure-fire bets for your enjoyment. If you have any favorites, post below and let me know what to look out for!

Preferred ALWAYS beers

I could literally drink these beers everyday for the rest of my life and be content. When these beers are on the menu at a restaurant or on the shelf in the store, I cannot resist. I have not ranked them in any order because I can’t decide. Happy tasting!

  • Dogfish Head Burton Baton
  • Brew Kettle White Rajah
  • Lagunitas Hop Stoopid
  • Lagunitas Undercover Shutdown Investigation Ale
  • Bell’s Two Hearted
  • Firestone Walker Double Jack
  • Fat Heads Head Hunter
  • Ballast Point Sculpin
  • Columbus Brewing Bodhi

Preferred Summer Beers

My definition of a summer beer consists of a lighter style beer (not light in calories, flavor, or taste; but lack of heaviness in my stomach), that has a hop bite at the end. It is the perfect beer to sip on my patio on a hot day or while playing cornhole. This list does not include my ALWAYS favorites. It only includes my favorites that I add to my drinking repertoire in the summer. I hope you enjoy this list too!

  • Bell’s Oberon
  • Three Floyds Alpha King
  • Three Floyds Gumball Head
  • Columbus IPA
  • Just about any IPA, especially if it is citra-hopped

Preferred Fall Beers

My idea of a fall beer often includes pumpkin. There are so many different pumpkin beers available by breweries across the country. Even if you don’t think you’ll like all of these, make sure to try at least one variety. When else will be you be able to drink a piece of pumpkin pie?

  • Cigar City Good Gourd
  • Southern Tier Pumpking
  • The Bruery Autumn Maple
  • Hoppin’ Frog Frog’s Hollow Double Pumpkin

Preferred Winter Beers

In the winter, I want a beer that will warm me up. I prefer dark, chewy beers with a great chocolate, roasty taste to them. ‘The darker and thicker, the better’ – that’s what I said! This kind of beer is definitely heavier in my stomach, which is why I can’t drink them during the hot summer months. Give these beers a chance on a cold night when a snowstorm is blowing outside.

  1. Green Flash Silva Stout
  2. Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout
  3. Goose Island Bourbon County Vanilla Stout
  4. Left Hand Milk Stout
  5. Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale
  6. Scaldis Noel
  7. Founders Backwoods Bastard

Thanks David. We are just getting started writing and hope to post more to get a female perspective on the craft beer scene.
